Anam Cara Pinot Noir Nicholas Estate is a beautiful red wine gem from the Chehalem Mountains region of Oregon! It is 100% Pinot Noir from Nicholas Estate vineyard. The wine was aged for 10 months in French oak, 22% new. Only 700 cases were produced.

This wine has plum, wet soil and vanilla on the nose as well as ferrous minerality, framed by subtle toast and vanilla. Sweet, rich and harmonious attack, with a flavor profile closely mirroring the nose. The tannins are rich and soft, balancing the big fruit component.

The 2006 Vintage: A steady growing season was marked by sudden heat spell at harvest time. We waited as long as possible for the flavors to catch up with the escalating sugars and picked the entire vineyard within 2 days when the perfect ratio was realized.
The words "Anam Cara" are Celtic for "Friend of my soul" and symbolize the journey we have taken to make wine. Each bottle represents our family and the vineyard pictured on the label. We hope that it is enjoyed by good friends over a memorable meal. Nick & Sheila Nicholas
