Bruno Colin Santenay Vieilles Vignes is a gorgeous red Burgundy certain to delight any lover of Pinot Noir. With the 2004 vintage, the Colin family divided its vineyards into three domaines. Father Michel Colin now vinifies just 3 premier cru and grand cru wines, while sons Bruno and Philippe have their own labels and vineyard holdings. Domaine Bruno Colin has 8 hectares of vineyards in several prestigious appellations of the Cote de Beaune of Burgundy. His wines are imported to the US by Kermit Lynch.
In its Guide RVF 2007, the revered La Revue du Vin de France named Domaine Bruno Colin a New Domaine to Follow. We judged this old-vines Santenay from the superb 2006 vintage already a true red wine gem!
Bruno Colin Santenay Vieilles Vignes is deep garnet red in color, medium-full in body, soft and velvety with silky tannins. It offers a beautiful nose and palate of black cherries, raspberries, earth, spice and mineral notes. The wine was aged in French oak barrels. Its elegant finish shows off the depth, length and earthy minerality reserved for great Burgundy.
Enjoy Bruno Colin Santenay Vieilles Vignes over the next 7-8 years with roast pork, grilled salmon, pasta, rich vegetable dishes, and aged cheeses.
