Napa Valley, California
Tin Knocker Sauvignon Blanc is a beautiful white wine gem sourced from 3 different vineyards in California's Napa Valley-Pope Valley, Frediani Vineyard in Calistoga and Titus Vineyard in St Helena-to achieve a cross-section of true Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc in the glass. Proprietor Sean Larkin of Larkin Wines created Tin Knocker wines in reference to the slang term for a sheet metal worker. The wine label is derived from J. Howard Miller's famous Westinghouse poster titled "We can do it!" which is typically associated with the fictional character Rosie the Riveter, a female American factory worker during WWII. The excellent 2008 vintage produced smaller berries with more concentrated fruit flavors. Only 682 cases were produced.
Tin Knocker Sauvignon Blanc is 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Napa Valley. The wine offers quintessential floral and citrus aromas and flavors of pineapple, kiwi and lychee. It is medium in body, crisp, clean and pure on the palate. The wine was cool-fermented in stainless steel tanks with no malolactic and no oak. The finish is long and refreshing.
Enjoy Tin Knocker Sauvignon Blanc over the next 2-3 years as a summer aperitif wine or with grilled shrimp, crab salad, roast chicken and mild cheeses.
