It is a supremely elegant vintage Champagne produced in extremely limited quantities from the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards Madame Clicquot purchased in the early 1800s. This is the perfect gift to express the ultimate in luxury and elegance. The new 1998 vintage received a rating of 92 points from Steve Tanzer. We just call it a wine gem!
Veuve Clicquot Champagne La Grande Dame is a deep yellow-gold in color with fine, persistent bubbles. On the nose, apples and citrus mingle with notes of baked bread, pralines, clove and nutmeg. The full palate is silky and rich, with notes of apples, nuts, honey, spice and vanilla custard. The finish is long and engaging.
