Stafford Hill Pinot Noir 2009 Eola-Amity Hills, Oregon
Stafford Hill Pinot Noir is a beautiful Oregon Pinot Noir. Ruby-colored with a spicy nose of red fruit. Made in a straightforward style, it is nicely balanced with nice acidity and attractive notes of cherry and raspberry.
Stafford Hill is the second label of Holloran Winery, located in the Willamette Valley. All of the grapes were sourced from Bill Holloran's La Chenaie Vineyard located in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. Winemaker Jay Christopher farms organically and practices traditional Burgundian techniques, with small lot fermentations and minimal handling. This wine spent 14 months in 20% new French oak barrels.
