Sorelle Bronca Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Particella 68 is a delightful extra dry sparkling wine from the Valdobbiadene appellation in the Veneto region of northeast Italy. Sorelle Bronca was founded in the mid-1980’s by the Bronca sisters, Antonella and Ersiliana, carrying on the wine tradition of their father Livio. The family winery is proud to produce the only Prosecco ever to be honored by Gambero Rosso on its prestigious annual tour of Tre Bicchieri winners. Sorelle Bronca Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Particella 68 is made almost entirely of Prosecco, blended with small amounts of the indigenous grapes Perera, Verdiso and Bianchetta. Antonio Galloni rated this sparkler 90 points for Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. We find it richer and slightly less dry than the winery's regular bottling--a real treat!
Sorelle Bronca Prosecco Particella 68 is straw yellow in color with enticing aromas of sweet pear, apricot, almond, mineral notes and white blossoms. Crisp and bright, moderately dry with medium body and a hint of sweetness, this sparkling wine is richly textured with bright flavors of peaches, apricots, vanilla, and almonds. It is fruit-forward and well balanced, with a long, satisfying finish.
