Valleviola Soave is a white wine gem from the well known Soave appellation in the Veneto region of northeast Italy, surrounding the city of Verona. While mass-market producers like Bolla have influenced the reputation of Soave and changes in local appellation laws have been controversial, the best Soave producers still make a top-quality wine made predominantly of the Garganega grape varietal.
Valleviola Soave is a soft yellow-gold in color. It is light-medium in body with plenty of fruit and acidity for a well-balanced wine. It offers crisp acidity and a nose of lemons, green apples, white peaches and a characteristic note of bitter almonds. With no oak, the wine shows the best of the Garganega varietal flavors along with good minerality. The wine is well balanced with a fresh, clean finish.
