"Inky ruby. Dark berries, cherry, a hint of vanilla and peppery spices on the nose and palate. Fleshy and gently sweet, offering good energy and a subtle licorice quality that builds in the glass. Finishes smooth and gently tannic; a touch of smokiness appears late." October 2017-Vinous 89 points!
3 Rings Shiraz is 100% Shiraz, deep red with a garnet hue. It is full-bodied, showing lifted black currants, ripe plum, mint, caraway seeds and integrated oak on the nose. The palate is a labyrinth of ripe plums, black cherries, dark chocolate and ground coffee, with rustic overtones of cigar box and leather. The fruity complexity is finished with seamlessly layered tannic structure that is balanced with natural defining acids. This wine will drink well for more than ten years.
