Chateau Nozieres Cahors Malbec Les Terrasses is an opportunity to enjoy a beautiful Malbec from the place it used to be known for before Argentina largely took over this very popular varietal! Chateau Nozieres is a family vineyard situated in the heart of Cahors in southwest France, the birthplace of Malbec. Olivier Guitard and three generations of the Maradenne Guitard family work their 50-hectare vineyard as independent artisanal winegrowers. Les Terrasses is a traditional blend of 85% Malbec and 15% Merlot.
Chateau Nozieres Cahors Malbec is violet-red in color with a nose of red fruits, plums, violets, earth and spices. The palate is juicy and rich, showing ripe varietal red plums and spice. Softened by the Merlot, the wine has smooth tannins and a silky structure with a long, rich finish.
Enjoy Chateau Nozieres Cahors Malbec over the next 5-6 years with grilled lamb chops, cassoulet, steak, roast beef and sharp cheeses.
