Cotes de Gascogne IGP, France
Tariquet Sauvignon is a beautiful expression of Sauvignon Blanc from Gascogne in the southwest of France. With a tradition of innovation in their family tree and great knowledge of the vineyards from their top-notch Armagnac estate, it is no wonder that the Grassa family pioneered wine production in this traditional brandy region. Though many estates have now followed suit, Domaine du Tariquet remains the model of excellence. All work in the vineyards and winery is sustainable, and their commitment to freshness is so strong that they store their wines in tank at -2°C (28.4°F), only bottling at the last moment before shipping to ensure that the consumer gets the full experience of the pure, natural flavors of the fruit.
Tariquet Sauvignon is 100% Sauvignon Blanc from clay-limestone soils. It offers a distinctive bouquet with fine intense floral notes, lovely minerality, and the underlying suggestion of ripe grapes. Fresh and refined with an attractive intensity.
Enjoy Tariquet Sauvignon over the next 3-4 years with grilled shrimp, baked sole, roast chicken, Brie and summer salads.
