Finca Os Cobatos Godello is a delightful white Spanish wine gem and the perfect accompaniment to seafood. This wine comes from the Monterrei region in the northwest of Spain. Robert Parker scored it 88 points: "One of Spain's indigenous white wine grapes, Godello, continues to make inroads in foreign markets, especially the United States. There is a reason for that - it produces delicious, crisp, dry, light to medium-bodied white wines. This naked, unoaked 2013 Godello, from a high altitude vineyard planted on slate and quartz soils, spent three months on its lees and was bottled early to preserve its freshness. Offering lots of fresh, lively white currant, grapefruit and spring flower-like characteristics, this light-bodied wine is a perfect foil for tapas and delicately flavored fish dishes."
Finca Os Cobatos Godello received an 89-point rating from Stephen Tanzer: "Lively nectarine, pear and citrus zest aromas show very good clarity and subtle floral and mineral flourishes. Round and supple in the mouth, offering stony citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a hint of bitter quinine. Finishes spicy and taut, with good energy and focus."
Enjoy Finca Os Cobatos Godello with poached salmon, grilled chicken, shellfish, tapas and spicy Asian dishes.
