Santa Maria Valley, California
Wine Advocate 91 points! (on the 2014 vintage)
Cambria Clone 4 Pinot Noir is a stunningly good wine for the money! Cambria is a family-owned, estate winery located in the heart of the famed Santa Maria bench in Santa Barbara County. Bolstered by several decades of diligent winemaking and vineyard experience, Cambria's wines faithfully express the unique stamp of one of the finest cool-climate crus in California.
Inspired by co-proprietor Julia Jackson, Cambria Winery's Seeds of Empowerment program celebrates exceptional women who have overcome adversity and recognizes women in communities around the world who have overcome life's hardships. The winery strives to empower these "warrior women" by awarding $100,000 annually to non-profit organizations that embody its pillars: equality, community & spirit. Bravo!
"The 2014 Pinot Noir Clone 4 comes all from a single clone and the sandy loam soils of the Cambria Estate Vineyard. It spent seven months in 23% new French oak. There are notes of spice, underbrush, some sappy flowers, hints of sappy herbs and darker raspberry fruit in this medium-bodied, supple, beautifully polished, elegant and seamless beauty. It's incredibly high quality, and a solid value as well."-Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, 91 points (2014 vintage)
