Serra Gaucha, Brazil
Lidio Carraro Agnus Tannat is an excellent introduction to the red wines of Brazil-just in time for the Rio Olympics! This beautiful red is 100% Tannat grown on the estate's 10-acre Agnus vineyard at an elevation of 1584 ft. Grapes are harvested by hand before fermentation in steel tanks and aging for 21 months in large oak barrels. The winemaker is Monica Rossetti.
Lidio Carraro Agnus Tannat is defined by great structure, mature tannins and balanced wines. Serra Gaucha's subtropical climate, with relatively warm and dry summers, sunny days and cold nights, especially during the ripening process, results in aromas and flavors of coffee bean, dark fruit, licorice and cocoa.
Enjoy Lidio Carraro Agnus Tannat over the next 5-7 years with steak, roast pork, beef empanadas and aged cheeses.
