The 2016 Joel Gott California Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of mango, pineapple and melon with soft floral notes. On the palate, the wine opens with bright, tropical flavors, followed by crisp, refreshing acidity and a long, clean, balanced finish.
Combining fruit from throughout the state-Napa, Sonoma, Santa Barbara, Monterey, Lake County, and Lodi--creates a balanced, food-friendly wine. To preserve the wine's fruit and acidity, it receives a long, cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks, a small percentage of which are smaller stainless-steel drums that give the wine added texture and roundness from sur lie aging.
Enjoy Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc over the next 3-4 years with salmon, oysters, grilled vegetables, halibut, crab, chicken, Asian cuisine, and sushi.
