Chateau des Gimarets Moulin-à-Vent is a beautiful expression of Gamay from one of the best known of the 10 crus of Beaujolais-Moulin-à-Vent, named for a local windmill. The Chateau des Gimarets, owned by the Boyer family, sustainably farms 4.4 hectares of vines--exclusively Moulin-a-Vent AOC. With an average age of 45 years, these vines benefit from an exceptional east-south sunlight, allowing the estate to be one of the most renowned in the region.
"Elegant and fresh, with tangy acidity supporting the aromatic profile of spiced plum, black cherry tea and floral notes. Fig, licorice and bitter herb flavors mark the crisp, lingering finish."-Wine Spectator 91 points!
