Cult Cabernet Sauvignon is a structured and balanced Cab from three prestigious California wine regions--Napa Valley, Lake County, and Lodi--each lending its own unique characteristics to the wine. The winemaker is Rich Salvestrin, a third-generation grape grower who also transformed the family business into his namesake St Helena winery. Salvestrin garners exceptional reviews for their handcrafted estate-grown wines.
This vintage of Cult Cab is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon blended with small amounts of Petite Sirah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, and Zinfandel. It was aged for 15 months in oak barrels, 70% American and 30% French. Toasty barrel tones frame ripe cherry fruit in this classic Cabernet Sauvignon. Rich and concentrated with smooth integrated tannin, the wine builds on the palate and leads to a lengthy ripe finish.
Enjoy Cult Cabernet Sauvignon over the next 5-7 years with steak, roast duck, rich vegetarian dishes and sharp cheeses.
