Coteaux d'Aix en Provence, France
Margnat Rosé is a delicious dry rosé from the terroir of Rognes, about 15km from Aix-en-Provence. The average elevation of this terroir allows for a natural acidity in the wine which gives it a good aging potential. Margnat wines come from a family passion that has lasted for generations. "We do not inherit the land from our parents, we borrow it from our children." This beautiful quotation from Saint Ex corresponds to the approach of Jp, fourth generation since Edouard.
Margnat Rosé is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault. Grenache brings finesse while Syrah brings body and fresh fruit notes. The nose is explosive with aromas of fresh red fruits, then switching to lemon, grapefruit, and floral notes. The palate is harmonious, marrying the natural tension of Grenache and the roundness of Syrah. The balance between alcohol, acidity and tannins gives the wine a beautiful mouthfeel and long finish.
Enjoy Margnat Rosé now and over the next 2-3 years as the perfect patio aperitif wine. It pairs beautifully with salade Nicoise, roast chicken, grilled shrimp, mild cheeses, and chilled desserts.
