Valle de Tulum, San Juan, Argentina
Silverland Cabernet Sauvignon is from Las Invernadas Wines, a 1950's winery completely rebuilt in 2002 with the latest technology and expansion of its capacity to 5,000,000 liters. The winery is located in Tulum Valley, about 30 km from the city of San Juan. The vineyards are situated in a magical place at the foot of the Andes Mountains, with 258 hectares under vine spread throughout Tulum Valley. Grapes receive abundant sunlight, mild and dry winds and plenty of fresh water from the nearby snowcaps that flows through a system of canals onto stony soils. All this results in healthy, ripe fruit ideal for making wines of great quality, with delicate balance, fresh fruit flavors, and solid yet soft structure.
Silverland Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep red-black color with intense aromas of spices, green pepper and hazelnuts. The palate presents round and firm tannins with dark chocolate and velvety olives mixed with layers of spices and subtle vanilla from the oak ageing. Elegant while firm for a long, smooth finish. Aged in American oak for 12 months.
Enjoy Silverland Cabernet Sauvignon over the next 4-6 years with grilled meats, short ribs, rich vegetable dishes and aged cheeses.
