Santa Julia Malbec Made with Organic Grapes is a beautiful organic red wine of 100% Malbec from Mendoza. Julia exists, she is real. Julia is the only daughter of José Zuccardi, current director of Familia Zuccardi winery. Created in her honor, Santa Julia represents the Zuccardi Family's commitment to achieve the highest quality levels through sustainable practices, contributing to protect the environment and to develop the community. This Malbec is hand-harvested and certified organic by LETIS S.A.
"The 2019 Orgánica Malbec, also sold in parts of the world as "Made with Organically Grown Grapes" (mostly in the US), all from their own vineyards, mostly from their 178 hectares of organic vineyards in Maipú (out of a total of 400 hectares of certified organic vineyards, almost 100 of them are in the Valle de Uco) from deep clay soils. They want to express the fruity and juicy side of Malbec working in a reductive way. There is a leafy and fresh side and a straightforward, juicy palate. It's clean and very drinkable. Some 600,000 bottles produced."-Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate, 89 points!
Founded in early 1990s, Santa Julia is one of the emblematic Argentine wine brands, both in Argentina and around the world. Santa Julia is a combination of the quality and diversity of the Mendoza land, which produces modern wines. Santa Julia produces a diverse range of grape varieties: the classics include Malbec, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, but also other rather unique varieties such as such as Viognier, Pinot Grigio and Tempranillo.
Intense violet-purple, concentrated and bright. A complex nose with varietal notes of ripe fruits, figs, prunes, jam and raisins. Medium-full in body, with tannins well balanced by acidity. A lingering and complex finish.
Enjoy Santa Julia Malbec with veal chops, roast duck, creamy pastas and aged cheeses.
