Monferrato Rosso DOC, Piedmont, Italy
Decanter -Bronze, World Wine Awards! Luca Maroni, Annuario dei Migliori Vini Italiani-Gold, 98 points! Mundus Vini -Silver!
La Bollina Bricchetta is a beautiful food-friendly red wine from the Monferrato region of Piedmont, made of 85% Barbera and 15% Nebbiolo. Tenuta La Bollina is located in the territory originally assigned to the production of Gavi DOCG. The estate, which for centuries has been the residency of the Marchioness Figari of Genova, is surrounded by a magnificent landscape of hills, selected vineyards and chestnuts woods. The winery has 25 hectares and a well-equipped cellar.
La Bollina Bricchetta is dark brick red in color with medium-full body. It offers a lingering bouquet of blackberry, plum, cherry, vanilla and spice. Beautifully balanced with a long, pleasurable finish.
"The wine under examination is a remarkable dense shade. Layers and layers of consistent fleshiness and majestic pigmentation. Supreme balance on the palate, with the persuasiveness of the taste which shrouds acidity and mighty tannin. Purity and novelty of the vanilla blackberry on the nose: highest definition of its diamond of fruity aroma. One of the year's best reds in Italy and from Piedmont, congratulations."-Luca Maroni-98 points!
La Bollina Bricchetta is an ideal match for spaghetti Bolognese, roast chicken, aged cheeses, risotto and BBQ. Enjoy over the next 4-6 years.
