The property consists of 63 carefully selected parcels 40m above sea level in the hills of Blaye and Bourg. This vintage is a traditional blend of 93% Merlot and 7% Malbec
Chateau l'Esperance Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux is a rich, powerful wine with silky tannins and aromas of ripe fruits. It is deep ruby red in color with aromas of cherries, blueberries, plum, and toast. Medium-full in body with gentle acidity, this Bordeaux offers rich flavors of plums, blueberries, and spice. It was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, giving the wine a beautiful aromatic complexity. It is nicely balanced to be enjoyed now and over the next 6-8 years. The wine is smooth and long on the finish.
Enjoy Chateau l'Esperance Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux with roast duck, veal, ratatouille, and cheeses.
