Clos des Lunes Lune d'Argent Bordeaux Blanc is a beautiful white blend of 70% Semillon and 30% Sauvignon. Located in Sauternes, on one of the greatest white wine terroirs in France, the
Clos des Lunes is a magnificent rolling vineyard planted with old Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc vines. From very old vines, some perfectly golden clusters are chosen and delicately sorted grape by grape, by expert hands.
"A wine that sells for a song (at least in the US market), the 2018 Clos des Lunes Lune d'Argent Blanc checks in as 70% Sémillon and 30% Sauvignon Blanc that's fermented in tank and aged in 25% new oak. Beautiful apple, citrus blossom, tart citrus, and a touch of minerality all emerge from this medium-bodied, vibrant white that builds with time in the glass. It's another terrific white from this team that's going to shine on the dinner table."-Jeb Dunnuck, 90-92 points!
The wine was aged on fine lees with batonnage (regular stirring) for 6-7 months, 25% in oak barrels and 75% in stainless steel vats. The result is a wine with superb richness and complexity.
Clos des Lunes Lune d'Argent Bordeaux Blanc pairs perfectly with grilled snapper, roast chicken, summer salads and mild cheeses.
