Bodegas Emerita Dacu is a lovely red wine gem from the Ribera del Guadiana DO of the Extremadura region in southwestern Spain, bordering Portugual. This new 2010 vintage was rated 88 points by Josh Raynolds for Steve Tanzer, making it a good value in Spanish reds. "Bright ruby. Pretty, floral-accented aromas of raspberry, mocha and smoky herbs. Smooth, velvety and gently sweet, with bright acidity lifting juicy red fruit flavors. Supple and approachable wine with good finishing clarity and a hint of jamminess."
